THE MOST perfect and creamiest stovetop oats ever!
Oats provide a significant amount of fiber and protein so its apt for breakfasts and pairs with sweet or savory. I try to include oats at least 3-4 times a week for breakfast and sometimes even add it to me smoothies.
I always make these with water and since these turn out so creamy I never add milk to my bowl.
I also add half of the apple first and saute it first to get it almost like a sauce like consistency that blends well with the oats and the other half I add in with walnuts so that it does not completely lose the crunch and I can bite into it.
I added almond butter since it pairs so well with apples but you could add peanut butter too if you want a salty taste with the sweet taste from apples.

Ingredients –
- Old Fashioned Oats – 3/4 cup
- Water – 2 cups
- Apple – 1 (big)
- Cinnamon – 1.5 tsp
- Coconut sugar (optional) – 2 tsp
- Walnuts – Handful of pieces
- Edible silver work (optional) – small piece of silver work
- Coconut shredded (optional) – 5 tsp
- Almond butter – 2 tbsp

Directions –
- Heat a small pot on low flame.
- Finely chop half the apple in a chopper and roughly chop the other half without the chopper.
- Add in the finely chopped apple bits on the pot and saute for a couple minutes.
- Next add in coconut sugar/jaggery/brown sugar along with the cinnamon. Sugar is optional so feel free to make it without.
- Mix in the cinnamon and once it is soft ( should take about 2-3 minutes max) add in the oats and water.
- Add in walnuts and the other half of the apple once you see tiny bubbles around the pot.
- I added half of an apple first to saute and almost give it a smooth consistency which mixes in witht the oats to give it a sweeter taste. The other remaining half I roughly chop and add to get few bits/pieces along with the creamy oats.
- Once the mix of water and oats is creamy, turn the stove off.
- Pour the oats out in a bowl and add the almond butter first since the oats are hot and the butter would spread and mix evenly around.
- Add in shredded coconut or coconut flakes and serve with a hot cuppa cappucino !
